OBSERVATIONS ON REALITY THROUGH THE ORNELIAN FRAMEWORK

By

Hi friend,

Glad you’re here. These are my raw thoughts and insights on the Ornelian Framework as well as the some of the tests that I ran it through to ensure its validity.

  1. The Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) are in the corners literally holding up the fabric of reality.
    • Taurus
      • Family = inner circle (people who deeply add meaning to your life) regardless of blood,
    • Leo
      • Friends = people you have fun with but don’t get deep with,
    • Scorpio
      • Society = everyone else including celebs, random public place people, and other plants/animals)
    • Aquarius
      • How you fit into it all = it is YOUR JOB to keep up with them → the PURPOSE of LIFE is CONNECTION!!
        • 1. by focusing on parts of yourself that you want to CONNECT with,
        • 2. find people or communities that shower that side with love
        • 3. our careers feel like play instead work, we get to just be ourselves and live out our hopes and dreams
      • It’s interesting that this is under Aquarius since its the futuristic sign. Imagine a future where everyone’s work feels like play and everything gets done.

2. People want to stay in the lower quadrants and then complain that their life isn’t getting any better. We have to be willing to face our fears and rise.

3. As a Libra 9th house, I found that so many ways of knowing were associated with Libra. Here are a few: Relational, Social, Moral, and of course Aesthetic. I’ll add more as they come up.

4. Every quadrant starts with a cardinal sign, has a fixed in the corners, and ends with a mutable sign.

  • Cardinal: Initiate
  • Fixed: Hold
  • Mutable: Shift
  1. Cardinal Fire: Initiate Spiritual → INSTINCT (BxM)
  2. Fixed Earth: Hold Physical → SENSATION (SPxM)
  3. Mutable Air: Shift Mental → BELIEFS (SxM)
  4. Cardinal Water: Initiate Emotional → ENERGY (SPxB)
  5. Fixed Fire: Hold Spiritual → IMAGINATION (SxB)
  6. Mutable Earth: Shift Physical → DUTY (MxB)
  7. Cardinal Air: Initiate Mental → DESIRE (SxSP)
  8. Fixed Water: Hold Emotional → POWER (MxSP)
  9. Mutable Fire: Shift Spiritual → WILL (BxSP)
  10. Cardinal Earth: Initiate Physical → REASON (MxS)
  11. Fixed Air: Hold Mental → MEMORY (BxS)
  12. Mutable Water: Shift Emotional → INTUITION (SPxS)

cr: LTG on TikTok. Even though its common knowledge, I liked the terminology she used to describe the modalities. I couldn’t find her account to tag her.

5. In the Enlightenment Period, it was largely argued whether it was Empirical Knowing or Rational Knowing that was the true source of knowledge. Interestingly, but to no surprise, they are both linked to the interplay of the soul and mind. They also lie across from each other on the OF further deepening their connection.

6. The Ornelian Framework tells the story of human development. We first get an essence (a life), then a body, then a mind. This all occurs in our Spring period. 🌸 (Q1)

In Summer ☀️, we start developing emotions, then through play, we realize that I am a me and you are a you. We are different and that is so special and beautiful!

The play ends when someone gets hurt and we have to figure out how to remedy the situation. (Q2)

In Fall 🍁, we start to realize our personal interests, perspectives, and goals. We start to form meaningful 1-1 relationships.

Now we have a society and we have to figure out how to all co-exist. The ones with the most power make systems that may work for them but don’t really work for everyone else.

In order to survive, we fall in line and accept these systems in the unspoken, unsigned social contract.

But we have to hide all the magic we hold inside for fear of shining too bright and being in danger because of it.

It’s hard. We get tired of being sick and tired, so we turn to nature for guidance. After all, all the plants and animals have been co-existing for much longer than humans have existed. We learn how to enact our free will. (Q3)

Now we’re in Winter ❄️, we have time to reflect.

We realize that everything has a reason. When we express our reasoning, it turns into our philosophy.

When we become clear on who we truly are, we find more people like us to form communities where we can be authentic, where we no longer have to hide any part of us.

Many of us have turned to social media to find this community we have longed for. In other words, a community is a group of people that fall under the same archetype. The beauty is that we each fall into millions of different archetypes. History has shown that everyone fits-in somewhere.

When every piece of ourselves is shown and receives love, that is how we will achieve peace on Earth. Our intuition guides us closer to this goal daily. (Q4)

I keep showing the chart because I don’t want to have to scroll back up when I’m sharing my revelations inspired by it lol.

8. Did you know that Abraham Maslow never put his Hierarchy of Needs into a pyramid? It was the textbook publishers to conceptualized it in that way.

Also, there were not just five needs, but actually seven. Seven is also the number of main chakras in our body (there are multiple smaller energy centers throughout our body).

Both Maslow’s Needs and the Chakras align with The Ornelian Framework. They run from the bottom left corner labeled 2 diagonally to reach the top right corner labeled 8.

  1. Physiological Needs – Basic survival (food, water, shelter, sleep, air).
    • Cultural Knowing (sensation/earth science)
    • Root Chakra
  2. Safety Needs – Security, stability, protection, freedom from fear.
    • Experiential Knowing (instinct/life science), Empirical Knowing (beliefs/physical science)
    • Sacral Chakra
  3. Love and Belonging – Relationships, intimacy, family, community, friendship.
    • Spiritual Knowing (intuition/religion), Analytic Knowing (discernment/natural science), Emotional Knowing (energy/multimedia arts)
    • Solar Plexus Chakra
  4. Esteem Needs – Respect, recognition, confidence, achievement, status.
    • Archetypal Knowing (memory/history), Reflective Knowing (awareness/humanities), Somatic (expression/the arts), Playful Knowing (imagination/performing arts)
    • Heart Chakra
  5. Cognitive Needs – Knowledge, curiosity, understanding, exploration, meaning.
    • Rational Knowing (reason/philosophy), Narrative Knowing (connection/social sciences), Embodied Knowing (duty/tactile arts)
    • Throat Chakra
  6. Aesthetic Needs – Appreciation of beauty, balance, form, art, and harmony.
    • Participatory Knowing (will/education), Aesthetic Knowing (desire/anthropology)
    • Third Eye Chakra
  7. Self-Actualization – Fulfilling one’s potential, creativity, authenticity, personal growth.
    • Revelatory Knowing (power/politics)
    • Crown Chakra

I’ll explain these in a blog post in the near future.

The Ornelian Framework isn’t meant to be the final word on reality—it’s an evolving lens, a way of noticing patterns that might otherwise slip past us. By looking at the world through it, I’ve found fresh insights and fresh questions, which is perhaps the real value of any framework.

My hope is that these observations spark something for you, too—not just agreement or disagreement, but curiosity. How does reality look when you apply your own lens? And where might our perspectives overlap or diverge?

This isn’t the end of the conversation, only a pause. The framework will keep unfolding as I keep testing it against the real, and I’d love to hear how it resonates (or doesn’t) with you. After all, reality is best explored together.

Until Next Time,

LA
